Tenth Annual Risk Management Conference

The Bulgarian economy is entering a new phase, marked by both growth and increased risks. This was the main theme of the Tenth Annual Risk Management Conference, organized by Coface Bulgaria on October 22, 2025, which was also attended by representatives of Axiom Insurance Company.


Under the motto "Bulgaria between growth and risk," experts discussed the prospects and challenges facing the economic environment in Bulgaria. Plamen Dimitrov, Managing Director of Coface Bulgaria, emphasized the importance of awareness and proactivity for business. Key topics of discussion included: Macroeconomic forecasts – analysis of global threats and their impact on Bulgaria, including trends in the eurozone and trade wars National economic policies – discussions on the need for more investment in entrepreneurship, innovation, and research and development, and Demographic challenges – the link between economic stability and human capital, including initiatives to retain young talent in Bulgaria. The panel discussions contributed to the exchange of ideas on the state budget, Bulgaria's accession to the eurozone, and labor-related issues. Participants supported the thesis that sustainable national economic policies are key to good business development.

When and how will the Insurer pay me?

Within 15 days after receiving all the evidence, the Insurer must either pay or refuse, stating the reason for the refusal. This term applies to all insurances offered.

I shall be traveling abroad for planned medical treatment. Will Travel Insurance policy cover my medical expenses?

This is one of the exclusions under Travel Insurance and these medical expenses will not be covered. The insurance does not cover medical expenses incurred for the purpose of planned treatment, as well as does not include the treatment expenses for any pre-existing condition or illness.

What to do if an Insured event occurs?

You need to notify us and file a claim. The deadlines for reporting and the method of filing are described in the insurance contract. In any case, we recommend that you call us as soon as possible after the incident.

I ‘m covered under health insurance plan. I have to be hospitalized for treatment. Do I need to inform you in advance?

In case you are going to be hospitalized, you do not need to get confirmation from the Insurer. If you need assistance, we are ready to help you in the coordination with the chosen by you medical facility on 0700 400 99 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on working days.

What should I do if I need urgent medical care and/or emergency treatment outside of working hours?

During non-working hours, you can visit a chosen by you medical facility for urgent or emergency medical care. Please, gather all medical and financial documents for the health care goods and services used. Expenses shall be reimbursed under the terms of your Insurance.
